Level 1 Event Planning and Coordination Fundamentals

Program Overview

This level would provide students with a basic understanding of the different concepts, processes, and procedures that are used in event planning and coordination. Students would learn about the different types of events, the different stages of the event planning process, and the different ways to manage event budgets, venues, logistics, marketing, and public relations.

Module 1: The Event Planning Process

  • Understand the different phases of the event planning process, such as ideation, planning, execution, and evaluation.
  • Learn about the different tasks involved in each phase of the event planning process.
  • Develop skills in managing the event planning process effectively.
Module 2: Event Budgeting and Financial Management

  • Understand the importance of budgeting for events.
  • Learn about the different types of expenses that can be incurred for events.
  • Develop skills in creating and managing event budgets.
Module 3: Event Venue Selection and Management

  • Understand the importance of selecting the right venue for an event.
  • Learn about the different factors to consider when selecting an event venue.
  • Develop skills in negotiating and managing contracts with event venues.
Module 4: Event Logistics and Coordination

  • Understand the importance of logistics and coordination for events.
  • Learn about the different aspects of event logistics, such as transportation, catering, and security.
  • Develop skills in coordinating all aspects of an event smoothly.
Module 5: Event Marketing and Public Relations

  • Understand the importance of marketing and public relations for events.

  • Minimum age of 16 years.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
