Level 1 Cleaning Sciences – Restroom Cleaning

Program Overview

The Restroom Cleaning certificate is a short, face-to-face course that provides students with the knowledge and skills they need to clean and maintain restrooms in a variety of settings, including hotels, hospitals, offices, and public buildings. Students will learn about the different types of restroom cleaning equipment and supplies, as well as the proper procedures for cleaning and disinfecting restrooms. They will also learn about the importance of restroom safety and security.
    Module 1: Introduction to Restroom Cleaning
  • Define restroom cleaning and explain its importance.
  • Identify the different types of restrooms and their unique cleaning requirements.
  • Understand the basic principles of restroom cleaning.
  • Apply restroom cleaning principles to real-world scenarios.
    Module 2: Restroom Cleaning Equipment and Supplies
  • Identify and select the appropriate restroom cleaning equipment and supplies for different types of restrooms and cleaning tasks.
  • Use restroom cleaning equipment and supplies safely and effectively.
  • Maintain restroom cleaning equipment and supplies properly.
    Module 3: Restroom Cleaning Procedures
  • Develop and implement restroom cleaning procedures for different types of restrooms and surfaces, such as floors, walls, toilets, urinals, sinks, and mirrors.
  • Clean restrooms safely and effectively using a variety of methods, such as sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.
  • Inspect cleaned restrooms to ensure that they are clean and free of contaminants.
    Module 4: Restroom Sanitation and Disinfection
  • Understand the importance of restroom sanitation and disinfection.
  • Identify and use the appropriate sanitation and disinfection products and procedures for different types of restrooms and surfaces.
  • Prevent the spread of germs and diseases in restrooms.
