Program Overview

This level would provide students with a basic understanding of the different departments and functions that make up a hotel. Students would learn about the different types of hotels, the different roles that people play in the hospitality industry, and the different aspects of hotel operations.
    Module 1: Fundamentals of Hotel Operations
  • Understand the different departments and functions of a hotel.
  • Identify the different types of hotels.
  • Learn about the history and development of the hospitality industry.
  • Develop an understanding of the importance of customer service in the hospitality industry.
    Module 2: Introduction to Front Office Operations
  • Understand the role of the front office in a hotel.
  • Learn about the different front office departments and their functions.
  • Develop an understanding of the different types of guests and their needs.
  • Learn about the different reservation systems and their functions.
    Module 3: Basics of Housekeeping Management
  • Understand the role of housekeeping in a hotel.
  • Learn about the different housekeeping departments and their functions.
  • Develop an understanding of the different cleaning procedures and standards.
  • Learn about the different types of linens and their uses.
