Program Overview

The Real Estate certificate under the Facilities Management umbrella is a short, face-to-face course that provides students with the knowledge and skills they need to manage real estate assets. Students will learn about the different types of real estate, the real estate transaction process, real estate property management, and real estate finance and investment.
    Module 1: Introduction to Real Estate
  • Define real estate and explain its importance in the economy.
  • Identify the different types of real estate and their unique characteristics.
  • Understand the different factors that influence real estate markets.
  • Apply real estate principles to real-world scenarios.
    Module 2: Real Estate Transactions
  • Understand the steps involved in a real estate transaction, from listing to closing.
  • Identify and mitigate the risks associated with real estate transactions.
  • Protect the interests of clients in real estate transactions.
  • Negotiate effectively on behalf of clients in real estate transactions.
    Module 3: Real Estate Property Management
  • Develop and implement real estate property management plans.
  • Market and lease real estate properties.
  • Manage property maintenance and repairs.
  • Collect rent and manage tenant relationships.
