Level 3 Event Planning and Management – Wedding and Special Events Management

Program Overview

This level would provide students with a basic understanding of the different concepts, processes, and procedures that are used in wedding and special events management in hotels. Students would learn about the different types of weddings and special events, the different ways to plan and manage these types of events, and the specific challenges and opportunities that they present.

Module 1: Wedding Planning and Coordination

  • Understand the different aspects of wedding planning and coordination.
  • Learn about the different tasks involved in planning and coordinating weddings.
  • Develop skills in planning and coordinating weddings effectively.

Module 2: Special Events Planning and Coordination

Module 3: Wedding and Special Events Budgeting and Financial Management

  • Understand the importance of budgeting and financial management for weddings and special events.
  • Learn about the different types of expenses that can be incurred for weddings and special events.
  • Develop skills in creating and managing budgets for weddings and special events.

Module 4: Wedding and Special Events Venue Selection and Management

  • Understand the importance of selecting the right venue for weddings and special events.
  • Learn about the different factors to consider when selecting a venue for weddings and special events.
  • Develop skills in negotiating and managing contracts with venues for weddings and special events.

Module 5: Wedding and Special Events Marketing and Public Relations

  • Understand the importance of marketing and public relations for weddings and special events.
  • Learn about the different strategies for marketing and publicizing weddings and special events.
  • Develop skills in creating and executing marketing and public relations campaigns for weddings and special events.
  • Minimum age of 16 years old.
  • A Level 2 qualification in event planning or a related subject or a minimum of 2 years’ experience in event planning or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A passion for weddings and special events.
